Bulk Propane

bulk propane bill

Your propane bill consists of these charges:

You will receive a monthly Tank Lease charge on each bill. Many of Florida Public Utilities’ (FPU) costs for operating and maintaining a safe and reliable system to deliver gas to your home or business are incurred regardless of how much gas you use or don’t use. This charge is fixed and has been calculated on allowable expenses.

Taxes and fees include local and state taxes, as applicable. Taxes are determined by the municipality or state and the amounts charged and collected are remitted to them. Your bill may also include past due or transferred amounts, service initiation charges or a deposit charge, if applicable. It may also include charges for service work performed, value added services, such as our fuel line maintenance program or merchandise purchased.

Reading your bill, like reading your meter, can help you budget your energy use. Your FPU account is a charge account-you use the energy you need each month, and we read your meter at the end of your billing period and bill you for the amount you have used.

Your propane bill is calculated in gallons during each monthly billing cycle. Your bill is based on the number of gallons FPU delivers to you on a monthly basis.

Due to weekends, holidays or the length of the month, the total days between each meter reading may vary. So it's possible for your monthly usage to increase or decrease from the previous billing period even though your average daily use remains the same.
