Nassau County’s Pipeline System Up And Running

December 11, 2012 –Topping off FPU’s initial stage of bringing natural gas to Nassau County, the Company has taken a significant step in the expansion by implementing the energy into the city’s distribution system.

Essentially, this means that natural gas will be distributed to FPU customers via a permanent pipeline—jointly owned by TECO Peoples Gas and Peninsula Pipeline Company—as opposed to temporary Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) trailers, which will remain on site through the end of January for operational and logistical purposes.

The last piece of 6” steel pipe installed at Harris Teeter Shopping Plaza, to allow the introduction of natural gas to the Omni Amelia Island Plantation and other businesses.
