Did you know YOU are responsible for some of your gas fuel lines?
Should your gas line fail, you could suddenly be faced with a costly repair bill of $400 or more! For just a few dollars a month, you can choose the maintenance protection program that fits your needs. Like other service lines in your home (electric, water, phone, etc.), you are responsible for maintaining your gas fuel lines. Natural gas customers' gas fuel lines begin just after the meter, or on the “house side” of the meter. Metered propane customers, like natural gas customers, are responsible for the gas fuel lines on the house side of the meter. Non-metered propane customers are responsible for the gas fuel lines from the house side of the second stage regulator.

At this time, the Fuel Line Maintenance Program is only available to FPUC's Residential Customers.

Covers non-buried gas fuel lines on the outlet side of your meter or regulator. This can include piping to your water heater, range, dryer and even fireplace.
Covers buried gas fuel lines beyond the meter or second stage regulator. This can include the piping to a pool/spa heater, gas grill or gas lights
Limitations & Exclusions
The Program shall not cover gas fuel lines which are damaged prior to the start of the customer’s service. FPUC coverage takes effect ninety days after sign up. FPUC’s obligation under the FUEL LINE MAINTENANCE PROGRAM starts upon payment of the first month’s bill and continues thereafter, provided that the customer makes timely monthly payments. The Program covers labor and materials to repair or replace a gas fuel line in the event of failure or due to normal wear and tear. The Program does not cover gas fuel lines or piping that fail due to an act of God, third party damage, fire, flooding, subsidence, vandalism or other abnormal causes. Program fees are billed monthly, in advance and include applicable taxes. FPUC has the right to modify the Program and/or monthly fee upon issuing a 30 days written notice. Service under this Program will remain in force until terminated by either FPUC, or upon FPUC’s receipt of the customer’s written notice. Customer’s written notice must be received by FPUC 30 days prior to date of requested termination. FPUC has the right to terminate the Program for nonpayment. FPUC limits gas fuel line repairs to gas fuel lines that are accessible; gas fuel lines buried under concrete may not be covered. *FPUC reserves the right to choose to repair rather than replace gas fuel lines after a thorough examination by Company representatives.
