Chuck Stein serves as Florida Public Utilities’ Senior Vice President/Chief Operating Officer. In his current role, Stein has overall Operations responsibility for Florida Public Utilities’ five divisions.

Stein began his career with Florida Public Utilities in February 1980, as Distribution Superintendent in the South Florida Division. He was promoted to Manager of Gas Operations in September 1986. In January 1993, Stein was appointed Vice President of Operations responsible for the South and Central Florida Divisions. He became Sr. Vice President in June 1997 and Chief Operating Officer in November 2000.

Stein received his B.S. in Civil Engineering from Rose Polytechnic Institute, Terre Haute, Indiana and M.B.A. from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Stein is currently Secretary and Treasurer of the Florida Natural Gas Association and serves on the Association’s Board of Directors. He is a Board Member and Treasurer of the Associated Gas Distributors of Florida as well as a member of the Southern Gas Association’s Distribution Section Managing Committee and past chairperson. In addition, Stein is a past president of the Florida Natural Gas Association.
